Summer Memories

Now that the school year is in full-swing, I'm taking a deep breath and catching up on some projects at home....the first one being updating our blog from our summer adventures.  Lots to catch up on!
MAY 2012

Trip to IL for Matthew and Jennifer Lee's wedding.  Fun visit with Oma and Betty as well!

Micah's Preschool Graduation from Wooddale!  We have been so blessed to have our boys in this amazing program.  They have been nurtured and guided by incredible teachers over the years (Micah had Ms. Jennie this year).  Moving on from this season in our family's life. .....Sigh.....

Memorial Day weekend at Weiler's cabin.

Enjoying my last "Mommy and Micah" days before he heads to kindergarten.I love this kid's imagination and creativity.  I will miss these sweet moments with my boy.

JUNE 2012
Kindergarten Field Trip to Como Zoo....Micah was happy to join in on the fun. Tim was one of Jordan's best buddies in Room 9. : )

Kindergarten Graduation.  What an amazing year Jordan had in Mrs. Hanson's class!

Went strawberry picking with the Hunts on the first day of summer vacation.

Fun moments with our sweet cousin, Osa, at 7 months old.

It was a HOT summer for soccer.  But the boys were troopers and had a great season. It was nice to have them on the same team this year.  : )

Annual weekend at the cabin! The 3rd annual Peterson Olympics was fun, and brought out the fierce competitive nature in some of us.  ; )  We celebrated Emily's 12th and Grandpa's 68th birthdays.  Lots of water play, board games, hikes, etc.  We love the cabin!

JULY 2012
I love this picture of Ben and my boys.  We kicked off the Wang family vacation with a fun night at MOA.  Ben is such a sweet big cousin, more concerned about his little cousins going on the rides they wanted to than his own preferences.

We had a fabulous time on vacation with the Wang cousins!  It was a hot week, so lots of time was spent in the water, tubing, fishing, swimming.  Of course we enjoyed our traditional meal at the Dorset House.  Micah received his banana split reward for learning to ride a 2-wheeler this summer.  And we enjoyed time relaxing in the cabin...cuddling with Mochi and playing games.  No documentation of the pop-up camper we stayed in (borrowed from Lawrence's co-worker).  But we are seriously looking into buying one someday.  We love tent camping, but I must say....the tent trailer was pretty nice!

Some random fun pictures from July....we sure love summer!

At O'Hare Airport, on a layover to my adventure in Southern Kentucky!

I spent a fun week with my dear college friend and her beautiful family!  We ate good food & yummy ice cream.  Spent lazy afternoons in the pool. Went mini golfing (dying of heat....thus the umbrella!).  Ran a 4-mile race.  Just enjoyed hanging out.  Wish we could see each other more often!

Date night at Target Field.  : )

AUGUST 2012

Fun day out with the Hunts.  Children's Museum, Choo Choo Bob's, and Izzy's for ice cream!

AJ went to Chicago with Grandma and Grandpa to celebrate his 8 1/2 birthday.  He had an absolute blast.  My mom & dad are amazing to take this special trip with each of their grandchildren.

Jordan was chosen by his teacher to be an Academic All-Star, and he was recognized (along with 400+ other Minnesota students) at MOA.  We are so proud of our boy!

The Weilers welcome Scout to their family.  Stray dog found in Hunts' yard.  Micah LOVES Scout (and all animals).  I'm sure someday we'll find ourselves getting a dog.  Someday....not soon.

Peterson extended family gathering at Josiah & Bethany.
Lots of kiddos having an awesome time together!

North Shore camping trip to Lambs Resort.  What an amazing weekend we had.  Gorgeous weather.  Hiking, exploring, playing "telephone" by the campfire, stargazing on the beach, drinking hot cocoa, making pies, playing Farkle, so many fun memories!

Sending Elliott off to his semester at HMI.  We will miss him!

Thank you, Grandma, for taking us school shopping!

Another awesome year at the State Fair.

Last summer weekend at the lake.  Whew!  What a summer we had.
