My Baby

Family Outing

We went bowling as a family for the first time. 10 frames never took so long! But we all had a great time. Jordan got 2 strikes! Thank God for bumpers. Any good summer outing should end with a treat. :-)

Turn Back Time

Last weekend we went to a friend's 40th birthday party. The theme was 70's/80's. I was surprised how easy it was to find 80's clothes! Maybe I should hold onto all my clothes for a couple decades because they'll probably come back in style. Wait, I'm already about a decade behind in my style. My sister took a few of my clothing items to the consignment shop, but they rejected all but one of my items. Yikes. Bad sign.

Our Little Soccer Player

We've officially entered the "competitive" sports world with our kids. I say "competitive" because AJ's first soccer experience was anything but competitive (that's a good thing!). It was actually quite comical, watching these preschoolers flock down the field, often quite distracted by other things. AJ's biggest distraction was his own shadow. Yesterday was a cloudier day so he was more focused than usual. :-) I was actually impressed by the skills he acquired in just 6 weeks. And he had a blast.

Let's Go Fly A Kite!

We headed to a local park last Saturday and the boys flew a kite for the first time. The kite only got stuck in a tree once. I love watching my boys experience new things.

Mothers Day

My boys (all four of them) made my Mothers Day very special! They picked out some beautiful flowers for me, treated me to my favorite breakfast, and reminded me all day long how much they love me. Could I be more blessed than to have such a rich life as a mother? These boys bring so much joy to my days, constantly amazing me with their uniqueness, creativity, tenderness, and goofiness. I'm also grateful to have an incredible mother & mother-in-law whose love & care for our family is unfailing. They have both taught me so much as I "figure out" how to do this mothering thing.
