Floor Hockey

Micah had a blast playing on his first floor hockey team.
He was proud to have something for just him.  :-)

Mom's Birthday

We celebrated Mom's 65th birthday last month.  What a shame that this is the only photo I captured of our fun evening together!  We (all the kids, grandkids, Aunt, Lillian & Uncle David) surprised Mom by taking her out to dinner at Mai Village.  It was a very special evening, filled with tributes, memories, and words of gratitude for her amazing life and legacy.  We love you, Mom!  You don't look (or act) a day over 50.  :-)

Lunchtime Notes

My sweet Jordan....insists on me writing a note in his lunchbox everyday.
And insists I put the pen in as well....so he can write me a note back.

Easter 2012

What a beautiful Easter weekend it was! Egg hunt on Friday at Richardson Nature Center with Micah & Jordan was so fun. Such a joyful celebration at church of Christ's resurrection. Then a nice afternoon in Apple Valley. : ) My favorite Easter quote: "Mom, why do we decorate eggs at Easter? Is it because people threw eggs at Jesus when He was on the cross?" I love how my children process the mysteries of life. And what a privilege I have to share the true meaning of Easter. I hope they got it. : )

Spring Break!

We decided to take a short adventure to Duluth for this year's spring break. We've driven through Duluth many times on our way to the north shore, but it's never been our destination. It was VERY cold and windy for the first couple days, but that didn't stop us from having fun. A highlight was watching the ship come in and playing on the rocks (it finally warmed up the last day!). We played the wind to our advantage and flew a kite. Spent an afternoon at the Great Lakes Aquarium, and of course the boys were thrilled to swim at the hotel. Lots of hours spent there. Loved the hot tub on the roof and smores on the hotel's back patio. We'll be back!

Kindergarten Field Trip

Micah and I chaperoned Jordan's class fieldtrip to Richardson Nature Center (I wish I could type phonetically how Jordan pronounces that!). It was a busy, fun experience. Once again, I acknowledge my admiration for kindergarten teachers.....wow!
