May Happenings

May has been a busy month! In addition to the May events previously chronicled in the blog, Jordan had his preschool spring concert, Micah is (finally) starting to show interest in potty training & the boys are all in soccer. The warm weather has lured us outside on many adventures. Can't wait for school to let out so AJ can join in on the fun!
We had an amazing Memorial Day week end. Lawrence & I dropped the boys off at my parents' cabin and we had a get-away to Bayfield, WI. What a much-needed mini vacation! Took the ferry to Madeline Island and rented bikes to tour the gorgeous island. Hope to go back someday with the boys and camp on the island. We also enjoyed some fun cabin time with my family. Feeling rejuvinated as we press on to the end of the school year.

Go! 5K

In spite of the impending thunderstorm, the boys had a blast participating in the Go! 5K Kids Fun Run in North Minneapolis. This fundraiser benefits a number of organizations, including Urban Homeworks, a ministry near and dear to our hearts (we met through UHW). Notice there are no pictures of Lawrence & me running in the 5K.....maybe next year. :-)

Spring Violin Concert

AJ played in his first violin concert this week! All the hard work of practicing is beginning to pay off. It was amazing to see him stand among all the other Suzuki students, playing his little heart out. It's especially fun for him to share this experience with two of his cousins. My boy is growing up!

Festival of Nations

We enjoyed the Festival of Nations this year! We had fun visiting A-ma at the Taiwanese booth, eating lots of yummy food, trying on masks, and dancing to different kinds of music (I especially enjoyed watching Jordan's interpretive dance!). The boys had fun getting their "passport" stamped at each country's booth. Fun cultural experience.

Big day in the Wang household. Our oldest had his first school music program. He insisted on wearing a tie for the occasion. We were so proud of him. Many, many more of these to attend in the coming years!
