Love These Boys

I have fallen behind with my blogging.....so much to catch up on. But I must first chronicle this day with my boys before the busy-ness of life causes me to forget the sweet treasure of this day. We've been keeping pretty active this summer, but today was unstructured. For some reason Jordan got inspired to make a book. He wanted to be the illustrator and wanted me to be the author (he dictated).

Later on today, AJ and Jordan got very secretive. They kept me from coming upstairs....which always makes me a little nervous. But they assured me they weren't making a big mess. Jordan asked me at one point, "Mom, what's your favorite food? Do you like cereal?" "And what's your favorite thing to do around the house?" I said I like doing puzzles. They ran upstairs again. AJ asked if I could wake them up at 5:30 tomorrow morning and then go back to bed. : )

Before going to bed, I asked them if they could show me the surprise. Here's what they showed me.

A puzzle and something to read.....my favorite breakfast on a tray.....and a book (words written by AJ and illustrations done by Jordan).
